A collection of photographic images of the North West of England (Lancashire and Yorkshire, including the Ribble Valley and Pendle Hill), Lake District and the Highlands of Scotland. Although today it is in Lancashire, most of the Ribble Valley lies within what was historically the West Riding of Yorkshire. Pendle Hill, and its historic associations with witchcraft and later the visions of George Fox (the founder of the Quaker movement), stands proudly over the valley. Within just over an hour's drive of the Ribble Valley is the Lake District, with its majestic fells and spectacular lakes - the inspiration for lakeland poets such as Wordsworth, and a favourite destination for ramblers and climbers. For the really high British mountains (!), you have to go to the highlands of Scotland. I've included some images of Scotland.
