The wriggling of lines that I like, set themselves tied up in knots inside celtic patterns, ideas and associations. The movement and tangles lead me to follow where they go. I get involved in the energy of these lines as they appear upon the canvas. Patterning is a huge challenge, and so by slightly abstracting it, I get an interest with high visual impact.
